Buzzi to race

Fabio Buzzi is to team with Hannes Bohinc of Wettpunkt.com in a new evolution class boat. Thought it might be something a bit different but it looks just like Kerakoll to me.

Is that in anyway related to the Wettpunkt boat of last year being ineligible to race for most of the season?

I think the boat you are referring to might have been another Buzzi boat in Supersport class.

Apparently, the cockpit configuaration was considered not in compliance with the rules.

There was a radical new Wettpunkt boat last year. Raced twice I think and then they withdrew as they couldn't get it going quickly enough.

The other Buzzi boat was Drew Langdon's "Buzzi Bullet 2" which as you say was not eligable to race because 1) ... it is/was not a production boat, but a one off race boat, and 2) because of the tandem seating arrangement.

I think Drew and P1 have now kissed an made up, and it will be racing in 2007
