Just found these pics and wondered what happened and what the outcome was??

I guess this was the damage, so maybe a crash or flip?

Oddly enough, I was at that race. The incident occurred in a 1989 race in Southampton, England.

It was just after the green flag had gone up that the Class II cat Unipart caught a ferry wake and barrel rolled. HFS,a Class II Velocity was directly behind and had no chance to take any evasive action and unfortunately ran over Unipart.

The driver was pretty seriously injured and the 'Unipart' never raced again. It's currently in a museum. HFS made it to a boat yard and it was craned out just before it sank. It was repaired and still races. As a matter of fact, it's the boat I race when I'm in England!

Ah, thanks quite interesting story.

I think HFS looks better in its new paint job though.
