Dania Beach - CANCELED

Just got the email. SBI Dania beach race is Canceled. I got a call earlier today asking if we were going to make it, which we werent.

Thats a shame. Any idea why it was cancelled?

Lack of funds from the city and lack of race teams signing up for it.

I am guessing the 9 boat turnout in Hollywood told them all they needed to know.

I enjoyed the Dania Beach race, they have a nice pier to shoot from! Its too bad, I was going to miss it this year anyway due to schedule conflict. I will be at the Southern Nationals in Augusta, Ga that weekend.

The city has never funded the race because they don't really want it there. Getting into the parking area is a hassle and the parking is terrible for the fans too. :mad:
