Took the win in a rough evolution race. Seems they led from the start and finished 4 minutes ahead of the second place boat GFN Gibellato. Third went to the HoneyParty.Com Skater with Fountain Worldwide finishing 4th after slowing whilst lying second near the end of the race.
In SuperSport, Conam Yachts won again with VoomVoom.Com second, Baia High Performance third and Buzzi Bullet fourth.
Some good talking points from Sundays race -
Honeyparty.com suffers hull damage - probably wise it "pulled out" of RB08.
Shelley Jory relegated to the commentary box - not such a disappointment for her as Lucas Oil failed to make the start of the race.
Aaron does it again - Malta's answer to Steve Curtis?

Great shots from Malta Ned. Can you go to all the Powerboat P1 races please? Sorry about England whopping NZ in the cricket so comprehensively but I guess you'll redress the balance in a wet and windy Auckland next Saturday when the All Blacks slaughter our rugby team.
My "snout" in Malta tells me they are still sweeping up grp from the pits - not sure those US boats like a wave or two.

I think some of the US boats were built to a light class weight of 3600 kg and then they brought them to P1 and had to weigh some 5K kg so the boats were not designed for the P1 classes and all the weight.

I do not want to sound like my mate Ray Bulman, but surely a race boat is capable of doing 50 miles without breaking?
To extend my point - Fullers new Phantom will do over 1700 miles of racing in the RB08 - it will not break - down to the fact that he knows how to rig and build an offshore boat.

Interesting comment about the "American Boats" as you put it. If I seem to remember correctly, and I was there on the weekend, first place both days was an Outerlimits, the Cigarette had a second, the Fountain had a third, and last time I looked they were American built boats.
And before you start having a go at those American built boats go and look at my pics from the races in Puerto Rico and Orange Beach from last year, they ran much harder and faster than this weekend and in MUCH bigger waters.
And in case you are wondering NO I am not American.

They all have seen more than 50 miles by the first race, much less the 20th.
Anyone can go slow and not break, the real key is can Mr. Fullers boat or any manufacturers baot survive and idiot behind the controls?

Well, In this case I have to agree with Boatless on this.
Indeed the outerlimits is specially designed with the P1 technical rules aside.
So this boat has been developped in line with our power to weight ratio.
This has not been the case in the same extend for the skaters in our championship. Indeed these boats have been designed for super vee where they could run wich much lesser weight.
All this is not a problem for flat seas but after our sunday race we found some boats with serious damage :
Fantastic 1 :Cigarette, two bulkheads gone
Honeyparty :Skater, they now have something like 2 boats.
Searex : Fountain, broken stringers in engine comp.
One of the reasons why Kiton Outerlimits has found the good balance now is that they were able to remove a lot of weight after some enginemods alowing them to run with lesser HP. Result : two wins and no damage
Same goes for Fountain 99 with the only diff, that this boat seems not to behave as good in the very rough see like we have seen on sunday. Also this boat has taken some damage.
