One of our members, Jon Fuller has done the seemingly impossible. This is from a show that aired in the UK last weekend.
Thanks to Captain Chaos for providing the links.
By the way, JF is competing in Round Britain 08 in a boat that he has built, engineered and rigged. At the very least, I think we have a class winner there.

JF did turn up and do a couple of days at the BananaShark factory, but it was "Kitten" his competitor on the heap that built the hull and deck - the hull and deck joining and rigging is down to JF and his co-conspiritor Nick Gilley :D

but it was "Kitten" his competitor on the heap that built the hull and deck -...........
Using the moulds produced by us/others, from plugs produced by us/others, over a period of 6 months, to a Steve Baker design, and a laminating schedule supplied by Steve Baker.
We then collected the contract laminated sub assemblies, released them, added all the engine bearers, fitted the hull deck together adding all the adjoining structures, designed the mechanical setup and rigged it.
I really think you have no idea how much work there is before & beyond the 3 weeks of laminating done in Devon! maybe this is why you only left us five weeks to finish and completely rig a staggered twin engine diesel endurance race boat before it's first race. :p
I think it's fair to say that Bananashark did a really lovely job of laminating our hull & deck to Steves schedule, for which we are very grateful, but to say you 'built the boat', is a little far fetched. the cost of Bananasharks part in the process has been roughly 10% of the total cost. We've been on it for a year now. If you'd like to 'build' us another, completely, for that 10% we'll have two!

I stand corrected - of course ours was only a small part of the finished boat and we are proud of our part in the whole. As you say we followed SB's and your schedule, and are confident that the work in Devon will play it's part in getting you to the finish line!
