why why why???

I guess that will remain the only engine for CatOB, SS and class 3S. If they are going to require an engine, and there is absolutly no choice to buy a different engine, why not make it something that can last a season?!

The 2.5 ROS motor is actually a pretty good piece when you run it in it's stock form. I just blew up my first motor in 5 years of racing this class. 2 seasons ago we ran 9 races on a set of stock powerheads. Many of the failures are do to changing the ECU box and RPM limits and people opening up the motors to "make them better" I don't think they will sell many at $25,000 each but you can still buy long blocks and drop ons at a decent price. For those of us that have boats with power already it make more sense not to have to repower. I would guess there are about 50 SS raceboats in the WORLD that would have to completly repower if they switched engine configurations.
