Team HoneyParty.com prepares for its debut season in P1
Fresh from the successful completion of its winter US race programme, Team HoneyParty.com, the British powerboat team of Richard Carr, will debut its supercharged Skater 399 tomorrow (Saturday 2nd February) in the Royal Yacht Club 'Brass Monkey' offshore race, starting at 1.30pm. The boats will race between Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers with Team Manager, Mark Pascoe, taking the throttles for Team HoneyParty.com alongside Neil Holmes, a seven-times world champion.
It is an opportunity to continue the team's development programme as they prepare for a full season in the Evolution Class of the 2008 Powerboat P1 World Championship. "This weekend is another good test for team and boat as we build to the season," explains Team Owner Richard Carr. "We ran in the Solent yesterday for the first time since returning from Florida where we had introduced several technical improvements. The boat was fast and handled superbly. I am extremely excited by the coming P1 season and cannot wait to get back into the boat once our test programme is complete."
Sounds like an exciting race. Hope someone gets pictures.

Why wasn't Richard driving? The rumour mill is busy!
He allegedly isn't on the best of terms with the Royal Motor - hard to believe isn't it? :D

Something about waving his member, I mean waving at members.

Probably because better people are avaliable.
Notice the boat runs best with Carr on the side lines.
Carr has now pulled out of the 2008 Round Britain Race, he wants to concentrate on P1.

Sad. From what we have seen so far it would seem he has concentrated on neither.
