So here is the calendar as announced at the show today:

May 9/10/11 - Venue TBC - Italy
May 23/24/25 - Marseilles - France
June 6/7/8 - Valletta - Malta
June 20/21/22 - Hammamet - Tunisia
July 11/12/13 - Reserve Date
Sep 12/13/14 - Vigo - Spain
Sep 26/27/28 - Portimao - Portugal
Oct 17/18/19 - Venue TBC - Middle East

The obvious missing locations are the UK and Germany (even though they announced they will run a Cowes-Toquay-Cowes race separately)

It is similar to the provisional calendar announced last year in some ways ... there were two provisional/reserve dates which were not used in the end, and a TBC in Spain which later became Belgium.

Good to see Malta is now 1 month later which should help with the weather conditions :D

Not so great to see June 21 Tunisia.

Does that mean that the 2008 Round Britain Race will be saying sayonara to 4 entered P1 boats?

Hmm, shame to lose boats but I guess P1 is their priority for the season and not RB08, shame may it be.

Damn shame.

The loss of the P1 boats will cost RB 08 close to £50,000 in entry fees.

yes, just like us, but looks like things are moving now, P1 - RB8 will sit around the table and see what they can do. Cross our fingers!

Hearing through "the grapevine" talk of P1 running Tunisia in July - That would be good.
