The result of Septembers 1st national powerboat race of Malta, which was officiated by the RYA and sponsored by the Maltese government & various local corporations is the formation of the Maltese Powerboat Association (MPA).
The objectives of the MPA are..........
1.To encourage & promote all safe forms of powerboat racing in Malta.
2.To encourage, promote & assist Maltese nationals to race internationally.
3.To encourage foreign powerboat racers to race in Malta.
4.To encourage & train all powerboat users in Malta, safe & considerate boat driving skills.
5.Promote the Maltese Islands and what they can offer to the powerboat owner.
The MPA intend to run with the RYA's assistance & help, 6 race weekends in 2008. Dates will be released in feb 2008.
