I downloaded all the CTC films on Boatmad, burned them onto a disk and watched them with a mate over a beer or two the other night.

1) I never knew James Beard was running a cat in 1970 in the CTC - took another 9 years for one to win the race and then go on to be dominate into the 80's

2) Health and Safety sir? Loved Max Aitken's briefing where he asked competitors to be careful, because one slip up could stop the race being run again!

3) The boat with 4 x Jaguar e-type engines !

4) Spotted a little Tiff Needle helping dad out with scrutineering

5) and finally the evolution between 1962 and 1970
