On the way to winning the famous Needles trophy (and winning the British Formula 1 RIB championships and second overall in the 200 HP class which included all of the Batboats and cats!) , our leisure version of the race boat, and in Guernsey last May about to enter the Guilliot passage.

Really like your 22. Let me know when it comes time to sell it.

Here's the 32 in its previous incarnation powered by twin big block Volvos when we had it built. Cougar in England converted it to a single for us. Engine was a 900 hp blower motor built by Express Racing Engines in Deland Fl.

Ben, not to hijack the thread, looking for some more info on the old 32. It has a spare fuel tank in it with a quick connect through the transom. Do you know what that was for?

I love the lines of the old 30's!!(above)

What would it take to get you out boating on the Upper Chesapeake?

Oddly enough after driving the boat hundreds of times in the twin configuation I only drove it once after it was converted to a single. Could the extra fuel tank be a water ballast tank, possibly done here in the States? The last time I saw it was in the UK.

Would love to do some boating on the upper Chesapeake. Just need a smaller boat that I can trailer around - and an invitation. :D

I would like to get you up with us for a day! More than welcome to ride with me or my brother. I will have to get a contact # for you to set something up. As for the tank, I hope it is not a water ballast, it is plumbed into the fuel system. The gas that was in it would not even run the lawn mower, so I don't think it had been used in a while. (It smelled like gas!! LOL)

Ben Mazur

I seem to remember something about a 'get you home motor' (outboard on a transombracket)
being installed when the boat went to France before it was sent to the US. That would explain the second fuel tank. I think that Cougar also did a bracket for the outboard in the engine bay?

Just a Assortment of pics from throughout 2007, that I took, wanted to add to the thread, and not knocking the thumbnails but just perfer to see the pic, without opening another window. :) The drag boat pics were taken in Augusta, Ga during the Southern Nationals, late July. The Top pic is 12 sec Eliminator, and the second of course is TOP Fuel Hydro, which 4.5 sec quarter mile. The previous page hydro is a 16 year old girl running in the 12 second class. Glad you are enjoying I will add more as time permits!

Adam Younger

My other boat - bit more suitable to proprider!

This is a RIB I designed about 5 years ago and this was number two out of the mould. Have up-dateed it as time has gobe along and fitted a 150 HO E-tec last year.

Looking to sell and have a change early 2008. Then likely to have a new 23' sportsboat that I'm designing at the moment. Bit of a interim measure and then hoping to have a Technohull 888 RIB (also being designed at the moment).

That is not taking into account any racing projects that may or may not come about!

Ben Mazur
05-08-2008, 07:51 AM
Nope, hasn't hit the water yet. The chief mechanic here at work has been doing most of the work when he could fit it in. We have been a bit busy, (finally) rigging new boats that have been sold so the Excalibur has taken sort of a back seat.

Should be soon though.
