An initial image of a big monohull we have been working on as a design concept, with artwork by Drive. Concept has progressed some way from this now and we may carry on as a design exercise anyway.

The company who were / are looking to build are still looking into financial aspects of set-up.

We do have a new design for a smaller production mono being built abroad and although for other markets the builder is keen to put one together for P1 Super sports in 2008

thankyou, yes it is a triple step hull, steps I would describe as progressive and also tapered. A system that works really well in producing a hull that handles, turns well and also allows for the boat to have uses other than racing.

We have a couple of other smaller designs going into production soon using this combination of features.

Not quite right on the bow in the 3D model!

The chine line actually comes in a bit higher - and then the nose has a bit more curvature / flow into the top deck.

Trying to get a very fine bow, but also reasonable levels of bouyancy and good aerodynamic properties.

The whole CAD model is still being worked on and will show a number of chnages when finished!

Might also have to lose the top/canopy to comply with the proposed 2008 SuperSport rules.

Remember to post the final item.
How long before the final CAD model is finished?
If you need any help, we 3D CAD model all our components at work now.
Have you seen your Brothers new boat an Extreme, It was running a good 80 on the clock at the weekend, he is getting a GPS to check speed should still be high 70's.

Got a really busy spell at the moment so the P1 model will have to wait a bit - hopefully still before Xmas.

OtherwiSe guessed that Scott might have bought the extreme - he had said a deal was possible on the RIB!

Is the Solent going to be safe?

How is it going with the Phantom? - shame you did not buy the efi as well - although they can be more trouble than they are worth...

Scott out there on the Solent hurtling around at 80 mph and knowning him this will be about 99.99999% of the time, is a worry for all shipping,
He is talking about doing the Basic on the 17/11 if he does and its rough i'm up for it.

The Phantom has my Spare 225 yam on, the EFI would not be suitable for me, as when we go for a run its not like the Solent 5 miles across we go out 30 miles across the Forth down to North Berwick and back 50 mile round trip for a blast.
If you know the problems i've had with Mercs i just dont trust them,My pal Davy the Yam maindealer is getting me a deal on a new Yam for the Spring.
The drawings are finished for the trailer, material getting ordered Thursday including a Aluminium checked plated covered sections so no spray from the road hits the boat.
I'll post photo's of the Phantom with the other engine with it's face polished on here or BM next week as we have a show next week at work i do the boys toys section, bikes boats cars etc, face painting for the kids then around £8000 worth of fireworks outside had 2400 people last year.
Anyway good luck with the P1 Project,
Cheers Gaz
