anybody going? What is the expected # of boats. Thinking about planning a trip. How is the superstock class in OSS. Any SBI boats jumping over for an August race? After Dania the next SBI race is NY is sept.

all the OSS boats, the OPS boats with the 750 SC will be there and P-class boats are invited as well for the remainder of the OSS season. Should be about 10 SCLs !! As in Past Years Orange beach should be a great race as well as a great venue.

There should at least 3 stock boats maybe 1 or 2 more.

Anyone know if there will be TV coverage of this race? Where is the best place to stay, island house or perdido beach resort?

OSS has a signed tv contract with American Powerboat television. The show will air later in the year. Go to www.Thunderonthegulf.com and book a condo at one of the Pheonix places through Brett Robinson realty. Are you and Chris racing together?

I was speaking with a friend last night who is helping out in the pits. A number of boats has shown up already. He mentioned the Reliable boats, JD Byryder and some others.

Looks like it will be a good turnout and an excellent event.

Cat Extreme - Bud Select - DNF

Turbine Extreme - 1st - Geico

Supercat 850 - 1st - CRC, 2nd - Hooters

Supercat 750 - 1st - JD Byrider. CMS, Reliable Carriers (turned over, Nichols Offshore(broken sponson were all DNF. Renegade Racing didn't start as it seems the boat was filled with soapy water.

Cat Lite - 1st - Amsoil, 2nd - Reliable Carriers, 3rd - Motley Crew, 4th - Peppers, - 5th - Popeyes,

Super V - 1st - Miccosukee, 2nd - Fury

V Lite - 1st - Laveycraft, Screaming Eagle, Typhoon, and Popeyes DNF

OB Cat - 1st - H20, 2nd, Berrycuda, 113 Card Credit DNF

From what I have heard it was a pretty rough race and Steve and Tom took a while to surface after they went over.

There were a few bumps out :D

Based on all of the carnage, a number of boats will need a fair amount of fiberglass work before they can go back into the water.
