Both were recovered unharmed and are borrowing a boat for the last race of the season as they are title challengers in AU C1

That was a good looking boat.
What power is in it?

It is powered by a pair of "WOC" 1075sci Mercury Race engines.

What does the "WOC" stand for?

I'll give you credit.

Must say they look a lot clearer and better on your web site also.

Boatless - Thanks but I am referring to Rupert Munro at least giving credit to where the images came from.
I have no objection to people posting my images elsewhere as long as they ASK me and also credit who took them. We spend thousands of dollars travelling the world shooting pics for the mag and it really pisses me off when people just take pics without even asking.
Cheers

Might be a good time to replace it with one of these.

Steve is going to cut the deck down on the Skater and reduce the weight by about 500lbs in time for the start of the season.

That should work!
When does the season start again?

They are changing it from winter to summer so it doesnt conflict with the V8 Supercars down here. The TV are very keen to cover it but in winter Supercars take the coverage. So the season will now start in October I think and that will ensure it gets on TV which is great for the sport.

That Bud Select is a mean looking mother.

Dr Speed - I think you will find that Dave Scotts boat Bud Select is exactly the same boat. Skater only made 3 or 4 of the 50 footers and ACME is one and Bud Select is another.

That is a pic of His NEW 50' MYSTIC. He sold his skater and finished last year and started this year in a 44 MTI. He recently took delivery of a 50' Mystic, which debuted in Sarasota. Its faster, lighter and handles better then the previous boats.
